a valentine's day gift guide for the sofia coppola loving sad girl who also loves fashion and film and feminine aesthetics
Hello.
As promised, I’m going to share my curated valentine’s day gift guide for the sofia coppola loving sad girl who also loves fashion and film and feminine aesthetics.
(this is hyper specific. If you’re looking for gifts for a recipient who doesn’t fit the description above, send me an email or comment below and i’ll give you some suggestions)
No news today, but we’ll be back to regular scheduling tomorrow <3
Enjoy.
-plushie for your lover: a maileg bunny
-an annotated book: something you both love filled with your notes, underlines, messy scribbles, thoughts, etc
-handwritten note: love letters are not dead. Write something thoughtful and it doesn’t have to be long (quality over quantity). Make it special and personal. Put on red lipstick and kiss the letter. Spray it with your perfume. Press your favorite flowers inside.
-custom hairbrush from buly1803
-bonne maman “ten ways to say i love you” valentine’s day advent calendar: this gift never misses. Little baby jam jars waiting to be eaten and reused and recycled and loved.
-sofia coppola archive: they probably already have this. If so, I recommend morgan maher girls in bed
-salter house nightgown: will I ever stop recommending this? Probably not. The wendy is my favorite. I also love chores and the lorna
-a candle: GIRLS LOVE CANDLES. There are a few I recommend: because we’re entering into spring, I recommend this candle from Trudon, this one from Diptyqye, and this fig one from Guerlain
-iris hand cream: it’s clean and feminine and light
-perfume: this one is very tricky because some girls are very picky (i’m very picky). Again, because spring is near, I recommend this one from Diptyque
-criterion subscription. (or a24 or mubi). She loves film, what can I say?
-vintage cigarette case with a lighter
-vintage pill box or trinket box
-sweet nothings. intimates. vintage lacy lingerie
-a collection of matches from your favorite hotels and restaurants (this may take some time to build, but trust me it’s worth it. You can start small, or maybe get your hands on 3 or 4 and start a new tradition to collect matches whenever you wine and dine and make memories with your lover).
-european candies: leone candies are cute treats. Or candy almonds or marzipan candies.
-tickets to the ballet or a museum (you can add this into your handwritten note and/or use the tickets as a bookmark to put inside of the annotated book)
I love you.
Tr(eat) yourself and your lover to something nice this year.
Bye.
