hello.
i was inspired by
to make this little list for you.my toxic trait is having way too many tabs open on every single one of my devices. my adhd brain knows no bounds.
today’s letter will be short and sweet - i’m currently drafting lots of seasonal and holiday inspired posts like back to school, dark academia, a fun school supplies list, and of course an autumn and halloween master list.
all the tabs i have open on my phone and computer:
(mind you, i’m only listing things that are somewhat interesting, because if i share all of my tabs, we’d be here forever)
-Poets&Writers: specifically looking for job opportunities and finding community in my city
-Pinterest: specifically my dark academia board since i’m currently writing a newsletter dedicated to that aesthetic. i’ll be sharing books, films, tv shows, foods, activities, and everything in between. (coming soon)
-Patreon: i’m a jstor subscriber so i’m often on their patreon page looking at recent articles they share
-nypl gift shop: my favorite place in the entire city is the new york public library. it truly is my sanctuary and i remember before i moved to new york several years ago, i had a picture of the rose reading room as my computer wallpaper. every time i go there to study, i feel incredibly grateful to be able to have access to such a beauty and peaceful place. and i must point out something absolutely necessary i’m adding to my wishlist. if you know, you know
-a general google search of different masters programs i’m interested in
-piglet in bed: i’ve been researching new bedding for my room. the mushroom gingham is my favorite
-bath and body works: refreshing the page everyday waiting for the hard launch of fall and halloween candles
-the new york review of books: this article specifically
-this interview with donna tartt
-bonilla a la vista chips: a google search hunt on where i can find these chips. i’ve been wanting to try them for quite some time
-this article about substack replacing social media doom scrolling
-goodreads: i almost always have goodreads open because i’m always on the hunt for my next book. although recently i’ve been wanting to slow down with my pace of reading. donna tartt said in one of her interviews, “It is better to know one book intimately than a hundred superficially.”
okay, that’s all for now.
if you’re not ready to become a paid subscriber and you have the capacity to leave a tip, that would be so appreciated. <3
i love you.
bye.
love love love this as a fellow "maximum tabs open at all times" person 💕 our tabs tell stories!! thank you for sharing yours
I love this idea. Although if I did it, on my phone especially, it would be the same tab open a few times because I forgot it was open on a previous one 😅 and googling random things I think of at night.
