an unrealistic january wishlist

hello.

i’m sharing a very unrealistic wishlist that contradicts my values of abstaining from overconsumption. but i’m only human- addicted to the internet and online window shopping. and because i’m a perpetual list maker, i’m going to share mine with you today.

an unrealistic january / new year’s wishlist:

-a black cat: i will name her clarice.

-fuji film x-t30: i’ve been wanting a camera for so long. this feels like a good first camera to get. especially for video content.

-sony a7 3 camera: this is the dream camera right here.

-balanced body pilates reformer: fun fact ~ after doing ballet for 18 years, i decided to become a certified pilates instructor so i could teach while going to uni. those years of intense pilates were the best i’ve ever felt in my life and body is craving that movement again. i would give my left ovary for a reformer in my home. i really don’t like group pilates classes at all for multiple reasons, so having this would be ideal. i’ve played on a lot of machines and this is my favorite balanced body reformer. this one is a dream. this is another great option. good quality reformers are very very pricey.

-fresh fruits from frog hollow farm: i love frog hollow farm so much. i often gift my grandparents with fresh seasonal fruits and they’ve always raved about how delicious their produce is. apricot season is my weakness.

-an ice cream machine: i want to make yuzu ice cream. or matcha.

-one day perfume: taipei and jasmine. taipei: soy milk, rice, taro, guaiac wood, iris, musk, vetiver, sandalwood (this is the most comforting rice gourmand scent i’ve ever smelled). jasmine: jasmine, clary sage, tea leaf, tieguanyin tea, vetiver, musk (my skin normally doesn’t do well with jasmine and florals, but this one is so beautiful and it makes me feel like a garden fairy).

-heaven mayhem laptop case: my laptop is covered with stickers and it makes me look like i’m 17 years old.

-the most perfect forever sweater: i’d rather have a handful of quality clothing pieces on rotation than have a million different outfits to choose from- and this one looks lovely.

-the new yorker desk diary: to feed into my obsession with the new yorker.

-signed clarice lispector: something like this or this. a collectors book by one of my favorite authors.

-xinu candles: this is one of my favorite fragrance houses. monstera is the best scent by them. i’m curious to try their candles and soaps.

-rice cooker: i don’t think you understand how much i love rice and how much i cook rice in my house. i need this biblically. and look how cute this little travel bento is to take with me on school days.

-aerogarden: i would like to grow an indoor garden until i can have my own outdoor garden in a normal house with a yard.

-cast iron pan: i’ve had my eye on this one for awhile, although i’ve heard great things about this less expensive version.

-hermes soin oil (cuticle oil): why do i need this?

-unicorn pepper mill: i’ve recently acquired this highly coveted- impossible to find pepper mill and i can firmly attest to the hype around it.

-molecule perfume: i’ve already gone through my entire bottle of my most complimented perfume so i think it’s time to order a new one.

-vintage birks step edge gold band ring: this or this or this. there’s something so simple and beautiful about these rings. they remind me of my aunt carol. she and my uncle were the inspiration behind this post i wrote.

-kyusu tea pot: i consume abundant amounts of tea and i’ve loved these pots for so long- the perfect vessel to make tea in.

-stanley thermos: i prefer owala for water bottles, but stanley makes great thermos mugs to carry hot water for tea or cocoa or hot soups on the go. and look how cute the matching food jar is.

-jellycat egg: idk.

-onitsuka tiger shoes: i own these and love them (these are extremely comfortable). i was them in this color or this one.

-print magazines: i just want to invest money on print media i can hold in my hands. some of my favorite magazines are popeye, the paris review, the new york review of books, the new yorker, vintage playboys, cake zine, and more.

-purcell ampoule mist: i’ve heard great things about this glowy setting spray. i need to try it.

-to summer perfume: osmanthus, cedar wood, ramble rose, triple tea… these have been on my radar for awhile and the only way to get them is in china. if you live in china, send me a dm <3

-samo ondoh bag: this has been on my wishlist for awhile because i need a new bag. this one is my favorite.

-mini buly1803 brush and combs: to take with me everywhere.

-i’ve almost gone through an entire bottle of my other favorite most complimented fragrances. it’s almost time for a new one— but she’s so pricey.

-ube candle from emme: i tried their matcha candle and it quickly landed a spot on my favorite candles of all time list. i’m dying to try the ube scented one- a creamy milky sweet comforting scent to get me through winter.
