i found the edward cullen underwear and other news
Hello. I’ll be sending out November favorites (+ news) tomorrow morning so stay tuned for that.Â
Random tidbits:Â
-I started a new book called On Women by Susan Sontag which explores the complex societal and cultural perceptions of women, critically analyzing gender roles and the challenges faced by women in a predominantly patriarchal society.Â
-I also started another new book. While the Women Are Sleeping by Javier MarÃas. It’s a collection of short stories that delve into themes of obsession, memory, and the elusive nature of truth. It follows a man who obsessively records every detail of his lover's life. The stories often feature characters who are drawn into strange, sometimes unsettling situations that challenge their perceptions of reality.
-Every time I watch Friends, it makes me morbidly depressed whenever Chandler is on the screen, so I'm searching for another comfort show to fill the void. Lately, it’s been a lot of cooking shows, but I must say, food TV has really tanked over the past several years. I usually resort to vintage Martha Stewart tv episodes or old Ina Garten holiday specials, but I’m in need of something different. (Also, LOTS of thoughts on food media these days…)
-Speaking of morbidly depressed, I’m knee deep in sad girl season, listening to Grouper on repeat and rotting in my bedroom because it’s getting too cold and dark outside. Just wait until January. I’ll be utterly insufferable.
-Leaving you on a lighter note, I made mulled cider the other day and my entire tiny apartment smelled like Christmas. So there’s that.Â
(((((Everytime I sit down at my computer and write to you, I always fear that I’ll have nothing to say. But then I’ll just start mind dumping and it never stops. So I must tame myself. This is me basically saying that I’m glad you’re here to listen and read my musings and I love you. ))))))
-WAIT… THIS IS A REAL TIME DISCOVERY MOMENT. I FOUND THE PINTEREST EDWARD UNDERWEAR!! GAH!
ALAS… cute right? I’ll be wearing them to the premier of the Jenna Ortega Twilight reboot if I can ever find them online for sale. Wait… can we all collectively re-read twilight together and have a discussion about it?Â
Okay, tea time:Â
-You Should Have More Friends Of All Ages
Devin Welsh's experience at Drexel University illustrates the profound impact of intergenerational friendships, demonstrating how connections spanning decades can enrich lives with diverse perspectives. His bond with Victoria Huggins Peurifoy, 71, formed through their shared passion for writing, exemplifies the unique blend of wisdom, experience, and mutual respect that transcends age differences and fosters a deep understanding and appreciation for life's various stages.
-How to Survive the Office Holiday Party
Navigating office holiday parties requires a blend of professional decorum and social savvy. Key strategies include making a brief appearance to show engagement, diversifying your social interactions beyond your immediate circle, minimizing work talk in favor of more personal conversations, and maintaining a professional demeanor throughout, especially with alcohol consumption. Remembering that this event is an extension of the workplace, rather than a purely social gathering, will help ensure that your conduct positively reflects on your professional image.
These gatherings make me want to DIE.Â
-Am I Missing Out By Cutting Men Off at the First Sign of a Red Flag?
In this whirlwind of emotions and self-reflection, the narrator's experiences with romantic interests reveal a complex interplay of attraction, pride, and the evolving dynamics of modern relationships. The push and pull of wanting connection and asserting self-worth illustrate the delicate balance of seeking fulfillment in relationships while navigating the nuanced expectations and realities of contemporary dating.
Lots of feelings about this one…
The evolution and eventual decline of "literary fiction" as a distinct category in publishing reflects a complex interplay of cultural, economic, and technological shifts. Beginning as a response to the commercialization of the book industry, "literary fiction" emerged to signify works with artistic ambition over market appeal, but over time, as the publishing world evolved and the lines between genres blurred, the term lost its definitive power, becoming an ambiguous label in a rapidly expanding literary landscape.
-This Is What a Real Housewife Looks Like
Jenna Lyons' foray into reality TV with "Real Housewives of New York City" marks a bold gamble, one that melds her established fashion credibility with the unpredictable world of reality television. Her decision to join the show reflects a strategic move to leverage her personal brand and business ventures in a new, highly visible arena, while simultaneously navigating the potential risks to her professional reputation in the high-drama environment of a popular reality series.
I think I should watch the Real Housewives of New York. Have you seen it?
-15 New Year’s Eve Movies to Screen Before the Ball Drops
The magic of New Year's Eve movies lies not just in their festive settings, but in their power to evoke a spectrum of emotions, from nostalgia to heartache. Classics like "When Harry Met Sally" capture the essence of New Year's resolutions and new beginnings, while films like "Phantom Thread" offer a more melancholic, introspective take on the holiday. Whether it's the lively chaos of a party in "200 Cigarettes" or the intimate moments in "About Time," these films remind us that New Year's Eve is not just about the countdown, but about the human experiences that define the turning of the year.
A cute little list of feel-good films.
-It Hasn’t Really Snowed in New York City for Almost Two Years
New York City is experiencing an unprecedented snow drought, with Central Park not recording an inch of snowfall in a single day since February 13, 2022, marking the city's longest snow-free period since records began in 1869. However, forecasters are optimistic about the upcoming winter, predicting more snow accumulation than average in New York State during January and February, thanks to a strong El Niño pattern and the likelihood of colder Arctic air.
Okay, that’s all for now.Â
See you tomorrow.
