recently, i made a list of books that changed my life after mulling over donna tartt’s quote, “it's better to know one book intimately than a hundred superficially”. admittedly, i’ve been devouring books this year like there’s no tomorrow as a form of escapism, but i’d like to slow down and channel this energy into a more dedicated and analytical reading experience. there’s something intimate and special about revisiting a loved book and perhaps gaining an even deeper insight as to why it had such a profound impact.
