hello.

august is a strange month. it’s one that feels fleeting, but drags on tirelessly the same way january does during the dead of winter.

august feels like balmy nights, freshly baked blueberry pie topped with vanilla bean ice cream, humming in the kitchen, stormy weather, melancholic trance, freckled sun-kissed skin, peach juice dripping down your chin, solo trips to the bookstore, forest green garden clogs trodding through dank soil, witchy summer rituals, bare feet on wet grass, languid afternoons, and honeyed milk.

we’re amidst the mid-august lull where time stands still as we slowly enter into the sweet transitional period between late summer and early autumn.

a treat, really. a time to immerse oneself in the abundant and fruitful nature of this season.

the rest today’s letter is a treat for paid subscribers. i’ve decided to expand on my weekly report and fill it with lots of recommendations for books, podcast episodes, things to buy or muse over, and everything in between. at the end, i’ll be sharing a roundup of articles i found interesting over this past week. thank you for supporting this newsletter. i love that you’re here with me.
