hello.
after a chaotic week and busy weekend, i’m in desperate need of a reset. i don’t believe in self care sundays or any self care tactics for that matter because in the past, whenever i heeded any recommendations or advice from a wellness influencer in a sporty and rich sweater, i’ve been beyond disappointed and negative in my bank account.
with that said, here’s a sunday reset routine i’m going to partake in for you to enjoy for entertainment purposes only. i will also note that my insatiable appetite for autumn is making me irritable and angsty. 7 days until september 1st.
resetting after a chaotic week:
-letting your body wake up when it’s ready
-london fog with biscuits and jam in the morning
-replacing your morning scroll with a magazine or book
-movement of some sort
-clean bedsheets
-praying for rain
-a bit of wallowing, daily floor time, mourning
-burning the good candles
-listening to jazz while reading the new yorker
-wearing your favorite perfume
-eating fruit
-crafty journaling, scrapbooking, doodling
-watching a ghibli film
-warm soymilk with honey and cinnamon
-bed before 10pm
lastly, thank you for all of the birthday wishes on my last post.
this birthday was one of the best i’ve had in a very long time. a day spent with people i love doing the simple things i love most with a newfound hope that allowed me to savor every moment. additionally, i ate the best cookie i’ve ever had in my life, found a new fall fragrance, got another sentimental permanent bracelet from catbird, went to a science museum, and bought a new book that’s perfect for spooky season.
i have lots to share in today’s weekly report. no articles as i’ve been occupied with studying, but i do have some new recommendations for books, films, fragrances, and films.
