hello.
it’s been a very busy week for me, surprisingly for all good things. i feel hopeful- a feeling i haven’t felt in a very long time.
it’s sunday, so i hope you’re doing what girls should be doing on sunday… enjoying a treat in bed, a bit of wallowing, dreaming of a love that has bewitched you body and soul, spells of anxiety, perhaps a comfort meal paired with a comfort film, a bit of rotting, or some variation of the above.
things i’ve been loving lately:
-sugared rosemary shortbread
-waking before the sun rises to read
-more coffee?
-finding old love notes, poems, tickets from the theatre, metro cards in my pockets or bags i haven’t used in awhile
-lying on the floor consumed by dense macabre
-walking through the park until i find the perfect spot to sit and read
-illegible handwriting
-long walks outdoors at night
-reading gothic horror
-online shopping for things i’ll never buy to pass the time during anxious moments
-plotting, scheming, crafting spells, prepping for the autumn equinox
-kettle corn as a cereal
-deep constrictive conversations with friends about interesting articles we’ve read
-is it jane eyre season yet?
-the complete stories by clarice lispector
-daydreaming about all the activities i plan to do this autumn
-listening to jazz while reading the new yorker
-summer slasher horror films
below, i’m sharing expanded weekly report filled with recommendations for books, articles, activities, treats and everything in between for paid subscribers. if you have the capacity to support my newsletter, it would mean the world to me.
i love you.
