Hello.
I’m going to share with you a little weekly report, then we’ll get into today’s news.
R is for Reading
-The Magus by John Fowels

E is for Eating
-pasta with pesto and pine nuts
-olives, thick sourdough bread (or pumpernickel) with salted butter and cornichons
-cereal with whole milk (my favorite cereal rotation varies depending on my mood: honey bunches of oats, quaker oatmeal squares, kashi autumn (or cinnamon) wheat, kix, barbara’s puffins, cheerios, corn pops)
(side note: i love all of the naughty cereals, too. But not for daily consumption)
-raw oats with applesauce and cold whole milk
-muesli
-landsberg seeded bread with salted butter and cheese
-roasted sweet potatoes with butter and salt and a sprig of thyme or rosemary
-SOUP (split pea, tomato with grilled cheese, no chicken noodle, minestrone with copious amounts of freshly grated parmesan cheese, etc)
-fresh fruit: cherries, pomegranates, blueberries, envy apples, sumo oranges, pears, grapes, papaya
-eggs (in every form)
-cannellini beans in tomato sauce paired with a thick slice of bread
-banana bread
-buttermilk waffles on sunday morning with butter and a light drizzle of maple syrup
-leone violet candies (i’m manifesting spring)
P is for Playing
-I made a few playlists to match the winter mood:
-For podcasts: Goes Without Saying, High Brow
-For film: paris belongs to us (1961), la femme de l’aviateur (1981)
-For pleasure: CHESS
O is for Obsessing
-my new vintage cowboy lighter
-vintage playboy magazines
-burning the good candles
-romanticizing staying home, cooking a meal, watching a good film, staying warm
R is for Recommending
-hand written notes
-a new candle: this one or this one for spring, this one for winter
-a new fragrance: this one for spring, this one for winter
-candle lit homemade dinners
-your never too old for a little stuffed animal to snuggle with at night
T is for Treating
-less screen time
-getting out of my comfort zone and attending more events and in-person meetups
-doing more artsy things! More museums, more art galleries, more art classes
-finally getting tickets to the ballet
-mid-afternoon pick me up coffee dates with a little treat
