hello.
okay, so i wrote in a previous post about reading cozy cringy witchy books for comfort, and several of you send me messages asking for some recommendations, so here i am. now i want to say something before we continue. if anyone ever judges you for indulging in books like this, you can send them my way and i will kindly tell them to fuck right off. you can still be an intelligent philosophical dostoevsky loving russian literature girlie and enjoy some comfort books in between. this is the case with anything in media or art consumption. i love legally blonde and mean girls and other girlie films just as much as i love eric rohmer type bitchy french films or films like donnie darko (2001) or metropolitan (1990) or american pyscho (2000) or in the mood for love (2000).
(letterboxd if you’re curious)
if you’ve been reading my newsletter for awhile, you’ll know that i’m a huge advocate for indulging and engaging in anything nostalgic and comforting that will heal your inner child, so i’m excited to be able to provide you with this hyper-specific request. if you’re into cozy and witchy, you’re my people. just you wait until the ‘ber months. i will be popping my p*ssy so hard in these upcoming letters with recs.

this witchy autumn forest asmr type video

i love you.

You *have* to read “Garden Spells” by Sarah Addison Allen. The cover is dreamy and it’s written so similarly to the Practical Magic movie- loved it wayyyyy more than the Practical Magic book (though Rules of Magic is amazing).
Highly recommend "A League of Gentlewomen Witches" by India Holton
