Caitlyn, this is a fantastic article and one of your very best. You always post the right thing at the right time, but this spoke to me on such an intimate level… I’m feeling emotional now. Seriously, thank you so much for your warmth and thoughtfulness.
Me neither :( it just brought me to some shopping website called Revolve? I was really excited for a damp stone candle cause my favourite scent of ALL TIME is called "overgrown cemetery" which smells just like old grass clippings lol
I was practically salivating at your every word! This spoke to the exact version of summer I want to embody and I love it because it's accessible to everyone at any income. It's easy to romanticize summer in Italy... and there's no shortage of people doing that. But to tap into the essence of "tomato girl summer" while using farm fresh and local-to-you tomatoes is the next level part everyone misses. To romanticize your real life, your town, your kitchen - THIS is where the magic really happens!!! I love your writing and feel deeply inspired by this and everything you share. Thank you for being you <3 -Mary Beth
If I had anything approaching your talent for writing I’d be able to express how much I love this! We are always being told to appreciate the small things, the ordinary, the everyday moments but you take us by the hand and help us see / imagine/ taste/ smell how we can elevate these seasonal experiences and it makes me feel excited about life again. I love that it’s not just a list of things to buy, but also appreciating things that almost everyone has access to - the scent of a lemon, rosemary, bare feet on the kitchen floor... Also re where to source recommended books, a trip to the library if you’re lucky enough to have one nearby is my first instinct. If I love a book and think I’ll return to it then I buy, but sometimes it’s fun just to curate a seasonal borrowed pile of books and see which resonate.
Love this and beautifully written!✨ but please don't link to amzn for books - there are some v good secondhand / independent bookshops online (bookshop.org / wob.com etc) & not having next-day delivery times adds to the slow living vibes🌞🌞

BRAVA! Just when I think I have read my favorite piece from you, you go and create something like this. This is incredible.

All of these recipes sound fantastic! I want to host a dinner party and make them all!! Have you read Ina Garten's memoir? It's fantastic!
Beautiful writing ❤️
