Oh hey, look at that, I'm first. I've been enjoying reading. I've been so excited since I purchased my first book... I've been excited and even planning to buy a bookshelf... Anyway I love love your posts especially when you say "I love you".. well, I love you too <3
It’s really helpful! I just wish they had more books in their library but I’m hoping they expand soon 🤎 do the free trial first to make sure you like it
I so agree with your point about rereading books! I'm trying to be more slow and intentional with my reading and not feel stressed about all the books I haven't yet gotten to. Lovely list, as always!
I met Fran walking down 8th Ave one very hot summers day a few years ago. She was in her trademark suit and very kind in her way to a sweaty and fawning me
Rereading influential books from your youth is so underrated. I recently read Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac for the first time since high school. The book was hugely influential in my desire to write about my life experiences from a spiritual perspective. This time around, I definitely had a different perspective of the book itself, but it helped me understand myself better, too. It felt like sitting down with my younger self for a chat over coffee. The entire experience was invigorating, reconnecting me to my original creative impulse and desires. So powerful. I wish more people spoke about returning to formative works!
Matilda is such a comfort movie for me. Watching it again as an adult is so different and even more magical.
I loved her so much because I was her.
It is! And reading the book is also so comforting 🤎
I still have my book from when I was a kid and bought it at the scholastic book fair. It’s all worn in and soft because I have read it so many times.
Omg I literally just commented this. Same. 🥹 she’s my hero.
like using the power of your mind and literature to manifest your dream reality/home/education opportunities/family??? okay matilda…go off.

The goldfinch was amazing. I'd love to reread it someday very slowly and intentionally.
I’m actually rereading the last half again because I didn’t get everything I needed out of it 🤎

That’s iconic. I think I’d stop dead in my tracks if I saw her 😂
